Ecommerce shopping system

This week I have been suffering from what feels like an advance strain of man flu. It has had me in bed for the past 3 days with nothing but my laptop to keep me sane. On Monday I was in nzime going through the specifications of the e-commerce system I am building.

My room currently looks like a paper factory with notes and diagrams everywhere planning out how everything in the system is going to work and interact. My plans for starting the system after working out all the information architecture and database structures is to develop the product upload system. This is going to allow for multiple colours and detail shots to be uploaded via and AJAX system.

After the products system is created I am going to start working on the basket which will allow for the products to be added into the shopping cart then passed through to the payment system and the order confirmed. The whole system is going to be an large PHP/MySQL/Javascript system which will hopefully push the boundaries of the standard e-commerce website/system.

On a quick note the official release date for Apples Leopard (Mac 10.5) has been set for the 26th of October. I can guarantee you I will be sitting with the count down timer ready to purchase my new iMac
