These past few months have been anything but quiet. With work mounting, university deadlines getting closer and social activities exploding I am struggling to find time to fit everything in.
The easy option would be to drop one of them but thats not an option and if it was any of them university would be the first to go if it was up to me. This year seems to be filled with pointless lectures, unorganized assignments and students having to use gut instinct in their assignment rather than understanding what they are supposed to be doing.
I am currently doing 4 units (2 of them are double units) but 2 of them seem completely pointless. Professional management teaching old business practices that are no longer used from my experience and logically seem to be a complete waste of time.
I prefer to study something called common sense with a dose of life experience.
Time management is something I wouldn’t mind learning at the moment as I have “so much to do and so little time to do it in”. If that isn’t an option I would also take a time machine if one is available to rent for a few month. Wheres Dr Who and his Tardis when you need him/it.
I finally have my Spyder3Elite (screen calibrator). I am very impressed with the results. Non of the standard profiles are even close to the levels on the calibrator. The shadows are defined and the detail in photos is greater than anything I could see before.
I am now back in Nottingham for Christmas. Most of which will be spent sitting at this very desk typing away and researching for my final project. Luckily its a less stressful environment than my university accommodation (only 1 woman rather than 4).
Christmas is closing in fast and bank account is taking on attacks from all directions. This holiday is too commercial now. I remember the days when it was all about family, food and alcohol. Now it’s all about presents, cards and alcohol. Everyone breaks themselves buying gifts and pieces of paper with pretty colours for everyone they know so they don’t feel bad.
I’m thinking of moving my Christmas to half way through January, that way for the same amount of money I can get the people I want to buy gifts for twice the amount I would be able to before Christmas. Christmas has lost it’s magic this year for me it’s purely about being with the people I care about... and the food.
